Rules and Regulations for the Competition
General
- The competition is according to the KNRB regulations.
- The organization will not be held responsible for any damage to boats and materials belonging to participants caused by both visitors and participants.
Racing Numbers for Bow rowers and Coxes
- Racing numbers need to be worn well visible before, during and while returning from the competition track to the boat house.
Track
- Length of the track is 6000 metres for all competitors.
- Heat 1 starts 12.00
- Heat 2 starts 15.00
- Start is at hectometre sign numbered 60, Finish is at hectometre sign numbered 120.

Pre-start, Start and Finish
- The start line is marked by a red flag. At about 100 metres before the start, the pre-start line is marked by a white flag.
- At the pre-start, the teams will wait in line according to startnumber.
- Rowers will row “light” before pre-start and then pace up : Running Start. There will be 20 seconds between the starts at most.
- The Finish will be marked by two red flags on either side of the water.
Overtaking
- Overtaking other boats is not allowed near bridges except at the cyclists bridge near Theta en the bleu cyclist bridge near HM 68
- Overtaking teams are allowed to choose the ideal course.
- Teams that are being overtaken may not obstruct overtaking teams and must yield in time to the overtaking teams to enable them to choose their course.
- Safety and sportsmanship must be observed at all times.
Objections
- In case of objections related to the race, please raise your hand while crossing the finish line.
- Objections are requested be at the desk of the competition organization within 30 minutes after finishing.
Heats
- Crews are free to choose to start in either morning or afternoon heats. It is possible for rowers to start twice during the competition in two different boats.
- The start is at the hectometre sign 60 near Mierlo, The finish is at the hectometre sign 120, very near to the boat house of Beatrix Rowing Club.
- Participating boats: 8+, 8*, 4+, 4-, 4*, 4x, C4*, C4+, 2x, 2-, 1x.
- The numbers Juniors J/M skiff is only for experienced rowers.
- Teams are requested to bring their own boats. Double use of boats is allowed, please announce beforehand at the competition registration. There is a very limited possibility to hire boats belonging to Beatrix Rowing Club.
- There is no alternative date nor activity in case of frost or extreme weather conditions.
Safety
- Before boarding the boat, the boats are examined for okay bowballs, quick release straps en heel strings. Boarding is allowed only when all these criteria are met.
- In this time of year the water can be very cold. For your own safety we advise at least one coach (with telephone) per crew who's following the race on a bike.
